A hammer is a tool that strikes an object to make it move or deform. It is most commonly used to hammer nails, correct or break things open. Hammers come in various forms. The most common form is a handle and a top. There are various categories of hammers, which can be basically divided into the following:

1：Claw hammer

percussion, hammering, and can pull out nails.  But the larger work hammer should not be used claw hammer.  When driving A nail, the hammer should be aimed at the cap and struck so that the nail goes straight into the wood.  When pulling a nail, you can pad a wooden block in the horn to enhance the pulling force.

2：fitter’s hammer

3：The ball hammer is a versatile tool for all sheet metal jobs.  It is used to correct the forming stage of bending foundation members, flat parts and sheet metal parts.

4：Rubber hammer is the hammer is elastic rubber material, mainly beat some fragile places and install floor tiles, glass and so on to play a certain buffer role.

Points to note when using a hammer:

Hammer head and handle connection must be firm, all the hammer head and hammer handle loose, hammer handle split and crack can not be used. Hammer head and hammer shank in the mounting hole wedge, metal wedge is preferred, wedge length should not be more than 2/3 of the mounting hole depth.

In order to have some elasticity when hitting, the handle should be slightly narrower in the middle near the top than at the end.

When using sledgehammer, must pay attention to front and back, left and right, up and down, in the sledgehammer movement range is prohibited to stand, do not use sledgehammer and small hammer each other.
Hammer head is not allowed to quench, not allowed to crack and burr, found flying spines should be trimmed in time.
